Greetings All and Best Wishes for the Coming New Year!
I am so very pleased to announce that Michael C. Peterson joins the Law Firm of Thurman Arnold effective January 1, 2012. I cannot imagine having been blessed with a better equipped colleague to assist our firm with its many projects and increasing clientele.
As the visitors who regularly return to our site might agree, I have been passionate about offering you one of the best educational legal sites for family law, divorce, and mediations in the country (we had over 100,000 visitors in 2011). But that is an avocation. Our real energies are devoted to ethically and energetically representing the interests of parties contemplating or involved in all manner of family law cases, including divorce and domestic partnership dissolutions, and disputes concerning spousal support, child support, and simple and complex property division. One of our expectations in bringing Mike on board is also to make divorce affordable for those who need help but have significant budget limitations.
Mike brings to our practice a deep commitment to ethics, a heartfelt sensitivity to the struggles of people like you in these horrendous circumstances that you face, and an uncommon intelligence and creativity for solving problems and issues. His education and training was very much what I would describe an "old-school" educational values, meaning that he is a student of history, literature, and of psychology without being an 'arm-chair' intellectual. He holds the highest values, and his work ethic and commitment to excellence is on a level I (frankly) don't bump into too often. I look forward to his regular contributions to our Blog, but even more to the benefits and joys of sharing a professionalism and camaraderie that is often missing for sole practitioners. Two minds are always better than one!
Mike and I have also decided to expand our practice areas to include handling civil cases, and some types of criminal cases. We will keep you posted as to the specific areas where we might be of useful service to you!
