Discovery In Support Modification Proceedings: Family Code section 3660
Section 3660 and the following provisions below are intended to allow family law and divorce litigants to obtain certain types of updated financial information from the other spouse, partner, or parent by using an abbreviated request mechanism, without necessarily having to first file proceedings for modification of post-judgment orders. Basically, once each year you can request the other party's financials and then decide whether a modification or termination request is warranted.

The purpose of this article is to permit inexpensive discovery of facts before the commencement of a proceeding for modification or termination of an order for child, family, or spousal support.
